CHICHEN-ITZA The Maya are probably the best-known of the classical civilizations of Mesoamerica. Originating in the Yucatan around 2600 B.C., they rose to prominence around A.D. 250 in present-day southern Mexico, Guatemala, northern Belize and western Honduras. Building on the inherited inventions and ideas of earlier civilizations such as the Olmec, the Maya developed astronomy, calendrical systems and hieroglyphic writing. The Maya were noted as well for elaborate and highly decorated ceremonial architecture, including temple-pyramids, palaces and observatories, all built without metal tools.
 

TULUM comes from the Yucatec word for fence, trench or wall, and was given to the site in recent times because of the wall surrounding it. It is likely that the city's original name was "Zama" or "place of the dawn". This is an ideal name for the city. Sunrise in the eastern horizon over the ancient city is an unforgettable vision.  Tulum is the only walled city the Maya ever built on the Caribbean coast. Unique among other Mayan cities, Tulum was still a thriving trading community when first visited by the Spanish. Spanish sailors were very impressed with Tulum and reported it to be as big as Seville.  Tulum remained occupied by the Maya for several decades after the conquest. The city was reoccupied in 1890-1910 by a sect of the "Talking Cross Maya", who held rituals in the temples of the "Castillo".
 

COBA is beautiful and mysterious - a visit here requires some effort but is very worthwhile. Its name means "ruffled waters", derived from the five lakes in the vicinity, and it is one of the oldest Mayan settlements on the peninsular. It also has the highest pyramid in the area and the greatest concentration of sacbeob (Mayan roads constructed from stone), both of which suggest a major city - yet the ruins were not discovered until the late 19th century. Even today, only a small fraction of the many structures in this vast site have been excavated and this, together with the remoteness and jungle setting, contribute to the feeling of exploring new ground.

BEACH OLYMPICS High-spirited people of all ages compete in outrageous games such as: Water Bucket Race, Flipper Relay, three-legged Relay, Sand Sculpture, etc. The thrill of the words "Let the Games Begin" sends a chill down the spine while the referees get everyone ready in the spirit of the games. The fun and crazy games featured in our event are designed for groups that want competition, but don't want anything too athletic or physical, since they do not require years of dedicated training, just a strong sense of fun. 
 

TREASURE HUNT As we begin our mysterious Scavenger Hunt , we must warn you that it is just not answering some simple clues of a piece of paper but a great deal of fun.  The challenge awaits with a promise of great rewards for those who accept and embrace it.  For those that can use the resources of intelligence, physical stamina and teamwork to outwit the ancients and the spirits, there's a bountiful reward to be savored.
 

COOKING LESSONS. La Casa de las Margaritas is a celebration to good taste, great food, and unforgettable moments. Designed to offer the visitor a rich and varied Mexican experience, the restaurant dresses up for the celebration every night, and surrounds the visitor with the sights, sounds, aromas, tastes, and laughter so characteristic of festive Mexico.

FISHING. The waters off Cancun abound with fish, Game species are plentiful, for example  grouper, pompano, dolphin, amberjack, great barracuda, sailfish, yellow tail and marlin.  The boats are specially equipped for sport fishing and the crews are more than familiar with the area and can take you to the best fishing spots.  Private or Group rentals can be arranged.  Tackle, bait, soft drinks and beers are provided on these trips.

Cancun is a duty-free zone; here you pay the lowest prices in Mexico on items such as perfume, spirits and jewelry. The prices are usually higher than downtown, but not always as much as you might think and the quality and quantity of the selection is truly imposing. GOLF COURSES

HILTON GOLF COURSE. The 18 hole championship grade par 72 course has been designed by the Aoki Corporation of Japan with a course length of 6,700 yards.  The course features its own club house, restaurant, pro shop, shower and locker rooms, storage rooms, facilities for handicapped, motorized golf carts and pull-cart rentals, equipment and shoe rental, golf lessons and championship tournaments.
 

POK TA POK GOLF COURSE. Cancun's Golf Course is an 18 hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones.  Very playable, and quite beautiful featuring a practice putting green.  It is located in the middle of the Hotel Zone, beside the lagoon and surrounded by lovely gardens.  Lessons and clinics are available. Does not include Transfers from Hotel to Golf Course. Open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

PLAYACAR GOLF COURSE. Located just 50 minutes south of Cancún and across the bay from the exotic island of Cozumel lies the peaceful little native fishing village of Playa del Carmen. Within this quite enclave, a private development called Playacar beckons you to experience the par 72 championship golf course designed by world renowned Robert Von Hagge. The course is carved through the lush Mayan jungles where it awaits any golfer to come and tame it.

THE GOLDEN CRUISE leaves the Playa Langosta dock towards Isla Mujeres.   This new product consists in a combination of activities like Catamarans, Snorkeling, Search of the treasure and other. 
 

JUNGLE TOUR Follow a guide on a two-seater Aqua Ray sports or speed boat to Punta Nizuc Reef, a perfect snorkeling spot with depths from 20 to 30 feet, on the way you’ll explore the jungle of and see the exotic wildlife and rare birds that live there.  The tour lasts two and a half hours.  Snorkeling gear included. "GARRAFÓN" and "Punta Sur" are located on the extreme southern point of Isla Mujeres, located in the state of Quintana Roo, in the Mexican Caribbean. BOB (Breatjing Observation Bubble) enables you to dispense with scuba gear to cruise amongst reefs and fish. Spectacular visibility is achieved using a clear acrylic, air-filled dome mounted on the headpiece. There is no need for a regulator, just breathe normally! Air is constantly supplied to the dome from a scuba tank attached to the front of BOB's body. The driver sits comfortably astride a seat under which ballast weights are secured. BOB is powered by a 40lb. thrust electric motor and a rechargeable 12 volt battery, both are housed under the seat.
 

SUBSEE EXPLORER Scorpion is the name of the second largest reef in the world, and part of it is located at Punta Nizuc. Cancun. Two Sub See Explorers assigned at Paradise reef. Admire a colorful trek through breathtaking coral formations comfortably seated in air conditioned semi-submarine, professionally narrated by our tour guide; get to know this marvelous underwater world without touching a drop of water.
 

Scuba Diving: Scuba diving is becoming a popular activity for our visitors over the past few years. CANCUN QUEEN This rustic Mississippi Style Paddle Boat departs every night for a 2 1/2 hour cruise around the lagoon. The evening starts out with a cocktail followed by a delicious dinner in the air-conditioned dining room. EL REY MUNDO MAYA The Center of Spectacles THE KING offers to his visitors thematic shows of the Mayan culture in 3 phases through a traveled journey that last approximately 3 hourrs. One of the 3 phases of this center, takes place in the archaeological ruins of The King with an approximate duration from 30 to 40 minutes. Another of the phases consists of giving a tour through The Mayan Village showing allusive settings of his culture with a duration of 45 minutes approximately. In the other, a dinner show  duration of 1.5 hours.
